Job Summary:
A Glass Collector or Barback plays a crucial role in supporting the bar operations by assisting bartenders and maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the bar area. The primary responsibilities of a Glass Collectorinclude collecting and washing glassware and dishes, restocking supplies, and providing support to ensure efficient and smooth bar service.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
• Glassware management
• Stocking and replenishing
• Bar set–up and breakdown
• Cleaning and maintenance
• Assistance to bartender
• Customer service
• Teamwork and collaboration
Skills:
• Previous experience as a Glass Collector, Barback, or in a similar role is preferred, but not always required. Training may be provided for candidates with the right attitude and willingness to learn.
• Physical stamina and the ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy trays or containers.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and the ability to maintain cleanliness and orderliness.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic knowledge of bar operations, including glassware types and bar supplies.
